Our Mission
To make state-of-the-art computer-based engineering analysis tools accessible to
users without engineering backgrounds through the development and marketing of
user-friendly, affordable, graphically-oriented software packages.
Company Profile
DaVinci Technologies was formed in 1999 to pursue the
development and marketing of computer software for aviation enthusiasts.
Its mission is to make advanced computer-based engineering analysis tools accessible
to average users. The founder and president of DaVinci Technologies is Dr.
Gil Crouse, Jr. Gil has a BS degree from Wheaton College in Physics and MS
and PhD degrees from the University of Maryland in Aerospace Engineering.
Prior to forming DaVinci Technologies, Gil worked primarily in the defense
industry starting with his work at the University of Maryland as a US Army
Rotorcraft Fellow and later at McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, and
most recently as a Division Scientist at BBN Technologies. His specific
areas of expertise include software development, computational analysis,
fixed wing and rotary wing aerodynamics, and aeroelasticity. In addition
to his work with DaVinci Technologies, Gil is also an officer and
former board member of the IntelliCAD
Technology Consortium and on the board of advisors of Technology
Empowerment Inc.
