| To begin using Airfoil Optimizer, you start by defining the
properties of the aircraft on which the airfoil will be used via the
Aircraft Properties page. This page or worksheet helps define the
requirements for the airfoil. For special applications, you may want
to override the calculated values on this page and specify some of the
requirements directly. The most important calculated values are the
cruise and stall Reynolds numbers and the cruise lift coefficient.
These are used on the Airfoil Selector page to
help find an airfoil well suited for your design. If you have an
existing airfoil selected for your design, then choose that airfoil as the
Baseline Airfoil for comparison purposes. |
